About Me
Welcome fellow incurable adventurers! I’m Catherine, a lifelong Disney enthusiast living in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. As a public defender, I spend my days in the courtroom going head to head with prosecutors much like the infamous J. Thaddeus Toad, Esquire. In my free time, I aspire to Mr. Toad’s more whimsical side, taking my family on wild rides to Disney destinations near and far! I especially love sailing with Disney Cruise Line because it provides the perfect combination of pixie dust with opportunities to explore ports of call around the world.
About My Family
My husband and I have been married since 2016 and have one son. I knew that I was a true Disney mom when our then 4-year-old son immediately recognized “One Little Spark” as the song from the Journey Into Imagination with Figment ride at EPCOT during a round of Disney Tunes Trivia aboard the Disney Fantasy. When he then began asking which “deck” we were going to any time he rode an elevator after that trip, I knew we would be frequent cruisers. He may be a few years older now, but his love for Disney vacations continues to extend to both land and sea, where his favorite activities include riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover and playing miniature golf on Goofy's Sports Deck.
About My Disney Experience
Disney vacations have been my favorite escapes from reality since I first visited the Walt Disney World Resort at 6-years-old in 1995. My parents and I stayed at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, where I bravely conquered the pool’s giant sea serpent tongue slide. Even though I only had the opportunity to visit the parks a few times growing up, I knew that there was something incredibly special about staying inside the “Disney bubble.” Years later, my husband and I spent our honeymoon at that very same resort and began the first of our many Disney travels together. After our first sailing aboard the Disney Magic in January 2017, I became hooked on Disney Cruise Line and have been sailing away as much as possible since then. I’m now living my Disney childhood dreams as a Platinum Castaway Club member, Disney Vacation Club member, and Walt Disney World Annual Passholder.
