I love using
Disney Gift Cards in and around the Happiest Place on Earth! It's a great way to manage your budget or even feel like you're treating yourself to something special. They can be used to purchase souvenirs, snacks, and at most dining locations, both quick-service and table-service. It sounds like you'd like to add it to your account within the
Disneyland app as a payment method for in-app purchases. Currently, this functionality is not available in the app, but you can still use it to make digital payments for Lightning Lane Multi and Single Pass,
Mobile Orders, and even
Merchandise Mobile Check Out. When you are ready to check out and are selecting your payment method, look for "Use Different Payment Method". Sometimes, you have to scroll down a bit to see this option, and it can easily be overlooked. On the next screen, you will see the option to pay with a gift card. The one caveat is that you will need to enter the gift card number for each purchase, which can be a bit cumbersome. I recommend typing and saving the number to a note in your phone for easy copy and paste access. I just returned from a trip with my family and used this method multiple times! While not ideal, it does the trick! Alternatively, you can save the e-gift card to your smartphone wallet and simply have the Cast Members scan the barcode from your phone for in-person purchases.
