Hey there, Susan! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. I'm super excited to lend a helping hand to a fellow Midwestern Susan AND a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member! Since you're arriving at
Walt Disney World Resort next week (hooray!), we don't have a moment to lose. Let's get to it!
There are all sorts of travel options to get from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to The Most Magical Place on Earth, but perhaps the most magical is Disney's
Minnie Van Service! These polka-dotted vehicles are piloted by Cast Members, and are a convenient and comfortable choice to get to your DVC resort. Currently, airport service is only available to Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resort hotels, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort hotels (including the DVC resorts), and Club Level rooms.
Guests may book Minnie Van service between 2 and 60 days before arrival. I recommend
calling sooner rather than later, as availability may be limited. The Minnie Vans seat up to 6 passengers, with up to 2 complimentary car seats. You can also request an accessible vehicle, which seats up to 5 people with space for 2 mobility devices (maximum capacity 7 passengers).
Susan, you can also use Minnie Van to get around Walt Disney World during your vacation. When you open the Lyft app, Minnie Van will appear in the list of options for you to choose from! I do use rideshare quite a bit these days - there are usually plenty of drivers available, and it's a great way to get to a dining reservation if there isn't direct Disney transportation between your point A and point B.
I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes, and that you are getting excited for your trip! If you have any other last-minute questions before your arrival next week, please don't hesitate to
reach out again.
Welcome Home!
Susan
