Hi Holly-Rose! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! Let the countdown begin! Your
Walt Disney World holiday will be here before you know it. With an extended stay, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy everything there is to experience across each of the theme parks and beyond.
With the purchase of a
14-day Magic Ticket, you will be allotted 18 consecutive days to use your tickets. With your resort reservation beginning on May 6th, you will have until May 23rd to use your park tickets. However, even though you will technically be there for 15 days, you are only allowed to visit the parks for 14 of them. Since your arrival and departure days will be cut short, I suggest choosing which one of them you want to utilize for a park day. If you are the type that would prefer to relax after a long day of travel, then skipping the parks on your arrival day might make sense. Personally, I would head to the parks in the evening to enjoy one of the nighttime spectaculars and not visit them on my departure day, since this will be a busy day as well.
If you need a break from the parks and venture over to
Disney Springs, you should snag an Advanced Dining Reservation at
Summer House on the Lake. This dining location has quickly become a family favorite of ours and a place we try to return to each visit. The food and drinks are absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is top-notch. They also have a cookie bar located inside as well, so stop here after your meal to bring back some sweet treats to your resort room.
Holly-Rose, I hope you have a magical time during your stay!
