Hey there, Zach, and welcome to planDisney!
You've come to the right place to ask your question--we planDisney panelists love a good, unique experience. From
Fireworks Dessert Parties to
behind-the-scenes tours to art lessons, there are so many outside-of-the-box activities to do at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Earlier this year, the Animation Experience as we knew it at Disney's Animal Kingdom closed to make way for a reimagining of Conservation Station. If you're a fan of Bluey and Bingo, you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for them as they help kick off
Cool KIDS' SUMMER at Disney World. But they're staying for good! You'll want to venture to another theme park to possibly get the animation adventure that you're looking for.
There is a new home for artists coming just around the river bend at
Disney's Hollywood Studios in late summer of 2026. Olaf Draws! at
the Magic of Disney Animation will be an animation experience that is led by Olaf from
Frozen and Disney animators will teach you how to draw characters like Genie, Moana, and Ursula. Although we don't know the exact date of this experience, some of this courtyard's offerings will be open by May 26, which is just in time for your vacation.
AN EXTRA GEM: Usually there is a fun drawing class in the America pavilion at
EPCOT for the
Festival of the Arts, which is in January and February. So, if you're in this neck of the woods during that time of year, you can enjoy learning from the pros in a very artsy, relaxing, outdoor environment.
Zach, I hope that you can draw to your heart's content at Disney World very soon. Even if there isn't an official animation experience available by the time of your June visit, take inspiration from the beauty of the theme parks around you and use that to spark your next work of art. Magic always,
LeAndra
