If I take the 70th anniversary tour at Disneyland, is there a specific time for the reserve viewing area for the Paint the Night parade or can we select which parade time we want to see?

    Oo-de-lolly, Jeremiah!

Golly what a day, when you get to experience the pleasure of A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour at Disneyland Resort. My wife and I loved going on this tour a couple of months ago. We thought our guide was fun and engaging. She shared a ton of great stories. And we liked how adaptive she was when not all of the pieces lined up just right to lead the tour exactly according to the script. It reminded me of how resilient and creative Walt Disney himself was in confronting and working around the many challenges he faced when he built Disneyland more than 70 years ago.

I think it's a great addition to the guided tours at Disneyland when there is reserved viewing for entertainment offered with the tour. Guests who take the 70th Anniversary tour are granted access to a reserved viewing area for a designated nighttime spectacular on the day of the tour. Normally, this will be the first showing of the Paint the Night Parade, though the specifics may be subject to change.

The nighttime spectacular portion of the tour package takes place after and is separate from the primary portion with your tour guide. So it's OK if you don't happen to be available to rejoin your tour group at the reserved viewing area for the time indicated by your guide. For example, if you would prefer to view the later showing of the parade instead, that is OK. But if you can make it to your designated showing, I highly recommend it. Having the tour guide Cast Members on hand for the showing designated for your tour is great for not only holding the reserved viewing area exclusively for you and the other Guests who participated in the guided tour, they also share with you popcorn to enjoy during the show! It's great not to have to worry about finding a spot for the show. And the goodies make it even more enjoyable!

I hope you have the most magical time on the 70th Anniversary tour, Jeremiah.
