Welcome to planDisney, Dominick, it’s so nice to hear from you.
You are my type of planner! Planning ahead is my specialty, but as a military spouse, I’m also pretty skilled in booking last-minute visits as well. Although, for budgeting purposes, I highly recommend planning as far out as you can.
You are correct, historically we should be seeing 2026 openings fairly soon! Unfortunately, those dates have not yet opened and we haven’t heard on a specific date for those
vacation bookings either. I know the anticipation is rough but Hakuna Matata, we should see 2026 openings soon!
Dominick, I recommend adding the
Disney Parks Blog to your favorites list. That is where you will find the most up-to-date information and the announcement of 2026 openings. In the meantime, I recommend keeping yourself in the planning mode by checking out all the available
resorts. Start by creating your list of wants and use that to guide where you'll stay. Are you looking for park proximity? A good pool? Different forms of transportation? These are all the questions you should ask yourself when deciding where to stay. You can even do this when it comes to
dining as well. Take the time now to start compiling your list of must-dos and must-sees, so that when the time is right, you are ready!
Do you already have a time in which you are looking to visit? I recommend an October visit. I love the weather and the change from summer to fall. Plus, you could also consider purchasing tickets for
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. I’ve been waiting to take my little ones, and I think this is the year! They are both school-age now, so I think they will enjoy it more and can stay up longer than in previous years. Let's just hope they are wanting to coordinate their outfits with me.
I know you are ready to book but hang tight. I’m sure very soon we will hear more information so that you can finalize your plans. Until then, please
let us know if there’s anything else we can help with!
See ya real soon,
Shantel
