Wow, I can tell you are excited about your Walt Disney World coming up soon! The FastPass system has been replaced by Lightning Lanes, which are available by purchasing the
Disney Genie+ Service. I used the Disney Genie+ Service in the four theme parks on my June 2022 Walt Disney World vacation. The Disney Genie Service is available to all Guests of Walt Disney World, accessed within the
My Disney Experience Mobile App or Website.
Disney's Genie+ Service is an upgrade that can be purchased in the My Disney Experience App after midnight on the day Guests are going into a theme park, giving Guests access to Lightning Lane Options (the Lightning Lane Options have replaced FastPass in Walt Disney World). More than 40 Lightning Lane experiences in the four theme parks are included in the Disney Genie+ Service. If you have purchased the Disney Genie+ Service, you can make your first Lightning Lane selection at 7:00 am on the day of your visit. Once you have redeemed your initial choice or the time arrival window has passed (typically 2 hours), you can use the My Disney Experience App to check your My Day Itinerary or Tip Board to see when you can make your next Lightning Lane selection. So you can ride a Lightning Lane attraction approximately every two hours, and each Lightning Lane can be enjoyed once daily. You can make Lightning Lane selections up to the regular park closing for that particular day, so if you plan on staying at the theme park for the whole time that it is open on that specific day, then you may be able to have more Lightning Lane experiences.
