Welcome to planDisney, Stuart!
Like you, I visited
Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in 2024, and I'm still daydreaming about malasadas, Mickey Musubi, and drifting along
Waikolohe Stream. Since I can't spend each day in Aulani's tropical paradise, I frequently drink my morning iced coffee out of my Aulani refillable Resort mug to add a bit of magic to my daily routine, and as you mentioned, the stainless version keeps drinks perfectly chilled.
While you are more than welcome to bring your Aulani mug with you to
The Most Magical Place on Earth, it is, unfortunately, unable to be activated for use at your Disney Resort hotel's beverage station. Since you're planning on purchasing one of Walt Disney World's Resort Refillable Mugs anyway, you could always use it to redeem your refills and then pour the beverage into your Aulani mug for better temperature regulation.
Since we are on the subject of refillable mugs, I'd love to share a quick tip before you head into the magic! Although Resort Refillable Mugs are not valid in Walt Disney World's theme parks, I love to fill mine up just before I leave my hotel, and once it's empty, I'll rinse it out and fill it with complimentary cups of ice water from
Quick-Service Restaurants throughout the day. Not near a dining location? No problem! You can conveniently find the locations of Water Bottle Refill Stations on theme park maps in your My Disney Experience app to stay hydrated. While you could use this strategy with your Aulani mug as well, I love that the Walt Disney World mug includes a handle that can be conveniently clipped to a bag strap using a small carabiner.
I hope this information is helpful, Stuart, and that your upcoming is filled with delicious beverages and magical memories. If any additional questions arise as you finalize your plans. Don't hesitate to come see us again at

Thinking Happy Thoughts,
