Hi Terrel,
Welcome to planDisney! We are so happy to have you here. With your visit just a day away, I bet you are eager to get all of your plans in place so that you can just sit back and enjoy the magic. Let's not waste a magical minute in finding an answer to your question.
The Disneyland Resort is committed to accessibility so that all Guests can enjoy their experience comfortably. Both
wheelchairs and ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicles) are available to rent from The Stroller Shop in the Main Entrance Esplanade, just to the right of the Main Entrance to Disneyland Park. These are first-come, first-served, so it is not possible to reserve them in advance. We recommend getting to the parks early to ensure the best availability. I know that was not the news you were hoping to hear, Terrel! You could also consider reaching out to a local, third-party company like ScooterBug, which offers advanced reservations, length-of-stay rentals, and even drop-off and pick-up services for the device.
Ahead of your visit, it may be helpful to read through all of the services offered to Guests with
mobility needs so that you are aware of the resources at your fingertips when you are out and about in the parks. I'm sure you are eager to ride attractions, and if you have been to Disneyland before, you know that the
queue and loading procedure can be different for each. Of course, you can ask a Cast Member at the entrance what the procedure is, but if you're doing a little advanced planning today, I recommend heading into the
Disneyland App. When you search for an attraction, you will see a drop-down menu for "Accessibility & Other Information". Here, you will find all kinds of helpful details, including whether Guests will need to transfer from a wheelchair or ECV, walk, or if they can stay in their mobility device.
Terrel, I hope we've set you up for a successful day in the parks! Since you are visiting during the 70th Anniversary, be sure to take advantage of some of the limited-time offerings in celebration of 70 years of magic. A few of my favorites are
Walt Disney - A Magical Life, currently showing at The Disneyland Story Presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. You will hear hopes and dreams from Walt himself! I also love catching
Tapestry of Happiness at "it's a small world", which typically has a few performances every evening. This projection show is a delightful trip down memory lane for every Disneyland fan. What I love most is that you don't have to stake out a spot early to enjoy it, you can just walk up a few minutes beforehand and get ready to soak it all in.
If you have any more questions ahead of your visit, we are always here for you at
planDisney!
Magic awaits!
