Greetings, Kristin, and welcome back to planDisney! Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast at
Storytellers Cafe is a great addition to a holiday Disneyland Resort vacation. Besides the amazing spread of food and the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant, it's special seeing Mickey and his pals dressed in outfits from such a classic holiday tale.
Kristin, this dinner experience is quite popular, so reservations may be a little hard to come by, especially in the final days of the holiday season. However, my best advice is to
keep checking online. Reservations can be released up to the day before as Guests modify or cancel their plans. I checked just now and saw some dinner reservations available for January 3, 2026. There's no guarantee that they will still be there when you check, but something else might open up. Sometimes, searching for a slightly different party size can yield different results. Just keep in mind that you can add or remove up to one Guest on your reservation when checking in.
If that doesn't work, you could try joining the
Mobile Dine Walk-Up List one day during your trip. You'd just need to be near the restaurant and use the
Disneyland mobile app. Then it's a matter of making a wish and hoping your reservation dreams come true!
Kristin, I have a few other ideas for special holiday experiences if this doesn't work out.
- Consider breakfast or brunch at Storytellers Cafe. You'll still have the fun of seeing Characters in special outfits for Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party. Goofy's Kitchen also has holiday theming and more availability at the moment.
- The Disneyland Resort Home for the Holidays Guided Tour will help you see the park from a new perspective, with lots of perks and heartwarming stories. In addition to the two-hour guided walking tour, you'll enjoy reserved viewing for A Christmas Fantasy Parade, Lightning Lane access for Haunted Mansion Holiday, and festive treats.
- Treat yourself to a Sip and Savor Pass so you can try some of the fun menu items at California Adventure for the Disney Festival of Holidays. The pass comes with six digital coupons redeemable for select food and nonalcoholic beverages at participating locations. You can check out the Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog to scope out some of the options.
As Chef Remy said, "If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff." Luckily, there’s no shortage of memorable dining options at the Disneyland Resort! I'll wish upon a star that you'll get the reservation you are dreaming of. In the meantime, feel free to reach out if you have any other questions. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
