Howdy Dustin!
Welcome to planDisney. The
Disney Skyliner is one of my family’s favorite ways to travel around the Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts. This innovative twist on flight will allow you and your family to glide across the sky, offering some of the most incredible views of the resorts and the surrounding landscape.
Alright, if you do not intend to visit the resorts, I recommend beginning your Skyliner journey at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The entrance to the Disney Skyliner sits right between this resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort in the middle of Hour Glass Lake. One of the first things you will notice is that some of the magical gondolas are adorned with classic Characters and figures from Disney attractions and films. Our family loves to play a guessing game to figure out which character we’ll get for our ride. Once on board, you will fly over the top of Hour Glass Lake on your way to your first station. Here, you can either board a gondola to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or continue on to
Disney’s Riviera Resort. If you continue on to the Riviera Resorts, you will get to soar over Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. This magical resort boasts the colors and feel of the Caribbean. Next, you will have the option to either continue your journey to the International Gateway at EPCOT or turn back the way you came. Even if you do not decide to enter the parks, I think you might find it fun to take the Skyliner to each one just for the views.
If you are looking for a neat souvenir to commemorate your magical Disney Skyliner journey, then I would be sure to stop by The World of Disney at Disney Springs. I’ve often seen miniature replicas of the Skyliner featuring various characters, and they would make awesome keepsakes.
Dustin, I hope this helps with your plans to ride Disney’s Skyliner, and I hope that you have a magical time. Please soar back by if you have any further questions, and a fellow panelist or I will be happy to assist you.
See ya real soon,
Robert
