Welcome to planDisney, Bryan. I'm so happy you found us here in our magical little corner of the internet.
Magic mirror on the wall, where can Bryan find the most magical royal makeover of all? Ah, yes,
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is one of the most sought-after experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort, and reservations go pretty quickly for this one. The Fairy Godmother and her Apprentices are in high demand and are quite busy transforming children into the fairytale role of their dreams. While you're not finding availability at this time, don't lose hope!
As any Magic Mirror might say, sometimes the right moment simply hasn’t arrived yet. So continue checking back on the
My Disney Experience mobile app as your trip gets closer. When other Guests cancel due to changing plans, those reservations are typically offered up to other Guests who are waiting to grab them. This is especially true within 24 hours of the date you'd like your child to experience this magical transformation, as Guests who can't make it often cancel to avoid the fees they'd incur if they canceled any later than that. And while not guaranteed, some Guests have reported success booking last-minute reservations by visiting the location behind Cinderella Castle right when Magic Kingdom Park opens to check for same-day availability.
Now my fingers and toes are all crossed that you'll get that coveted reservation. But if the Magic Mirror reveals that Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique isn't in the cards this time, remember that you can typically find a Cast Member in
Sir Mickey's with a special wand who will offer a free "pixie dusting" to any Guest. While you're in that shop, you can also find some truly royal attire to purchase for your young one. You can also schedule a magical haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop in Magic Kingdom, where you can often request a pixie dusting as well. Plus, you can look into booking a Magical Makeover at
The Grand Floridian Spa, available for Guests ages 5 and up. Currently, there are two different experiences: one for hair and one for makeup.
If you asked the Magic Mirror where to find a royal adventure in Magic Kingdom, it would surely reveal a bunch of options. Currently, Guests younger than 14 can wear a costume into the parks, as long as it adheres to the Guest Courtesy and Attire Policies in the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules. So they can still look like royalty on their magical day. Plus, royal experiences are all over the resort, especially in Magic Kingdom. You can meet royalty at
Princess Fairytale Hall, dine with them at
Cinderella's Royal Table, and step into Belle's story in Enchanted Tales with Belle. You'll also see plenty of royalty waving to you as they pass by in both the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and my new favorite,
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.
Bryan, best wishes for a truly storybook experience. And remember, if you have any other questions, the Magic Mirror is
always happy to help*!
May your days be the fairest of them all,
Matt
