Welcome to planDisney, John! Your springtime Walt Disney World Resort visit is coming up soon, and it sounds like you're going first class. Let's look at how you can roll out the red carpet for your group during this visit. You'll all feel like VIPs - Very Important Pals!
There must have been a slip of the keyboard because I'm not sure where you're traveling from, John. If it's the grand state of Texas here in the US, you'll call the number listed on the
Disney Private VIP Tours page to book your tours.
VIP tours typically accommodate up to 10 guests. When you call in, let the Cast Members know the size and ages of your party so they can determine how many tours you'll need to book. This is a popular experience, so I recommend making that call as soon as you can since you're within the
60-day booking window.
I chatted with a superstar Cast Member who said she recommends dividing your group by the types of attractions they prefer, so maybe keep the thrill-seekers in one group. But if you'd like both groups to stick together, the tour guides will be happy to do that, too. It's your tour to design however you'd like!
Having a list of must-do rides and specific areas you're interested in is also helpful. For example, if you know your groups will want to spend time in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios, let them know during the booking process.
You'll secure your tours with a credit card, but payment isn't due until just before your tour. You'll initially pay for a minimum of 7 hours, and if you decide to go over that time, you'll typically be charged for the difference after your tour.
If you're traveling from outside the US, I recommend
contacting a travel professional for help. Guests from certain countries must wait to book tours and other Enchanting Extras upon arrival. If this is the case, my tip is to look for availability later in your visit for the best chance of finding a tour.
While the VIP Tour focuses on attractions, my husband and I recently enjoyed
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour. Our tour guide shared tons of trivia about the making of Magic Kingdom Park, and the behind-the-scenes experiences were phenomenal. We even enjoyed shorter wait times at a couple of attractions. It was a magical day!
John, I hope I've covered all the bases to help you secure your VIP Tour. If not, please come back to
planDisney anytime. I want to help you have the wildest vacation in the wilderness!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
