Hello Brittany,
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sending us your Disney Dining question! How exciting that you'll be visiting at the end of this year... it will be here before you know it. Woo hoo!
Making some practically perfect
advance dining reservations for my family's Disney World vacations is one of my favorite parts of planning. To answer your question, you absolutely can... and should... feel free to dine at Disney Resort restaurants! This is such a terrific way to experience other lovely, themed areas of Walt Disney World Resort.
Complementary Disney transportation runs between all Disney Resorts and Parks, so it's easy to hop on and make your way to a dining reservation. We have a few go-to restaurant favorites located at Disney Resorts that we always enjoy. The dining availability tool actually lets you set a filter for "nearby resorts" when searching, to help you find some tasty options. I'm still seeing some great places available on Christmas Day... but you'll want to log on soon and reserve one!
If I can make a suggestion, my friends and I recently ate at
Sebastian's Bistro and loved everything about it! The food was delicious, the Caribbean Beach Resort location is gorgeous with tropical theming, and it's a fun Disney Skyliner ride away from EPCOT or Hollywood Studios (or Disney bus ride from the other parks). I highly recommend it! My second recommendation to consider would be
Toledo, located on the top floor of Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. Another winner with delicious foods served in a beautiful setting. If you were looking for a special holiday menu,
Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge offers a festive ambiance with special prix fixe menus for Christmas.
With all this bonus touring... you may find the next Disney Resort you want to stay in! Brittany, I hope this helps. Have an amazing time at Disney World, and please reach out to us at planDisney with any other questions you may have.
The magic is calling!
