I am a Magic Key pass holder myself, and the perks, flexibility, and ability to visit again and again make it so worth it. I have fantastic news for you. You can absolutely
upgrade your Multi Day Ticket to a Magic Key. There are just a few helpful things to know, so let’s walk through the details together.
Eligible tickets can be upgraded to
Magic Key passes that are available for sale on the day you upgrade, and you are in luck! I checked the website and as of this writing, all levels of Magic Key are currently for sale! On the last day of your 3 Day ticket, you can complete your upgrade right in the Disneyland app. Tap the menu icon, then select My Tickets and Passes. Find your ticket and choose Upgrade to a Magic Key Pass, then follow the prompts.
There are a couple of important things to keep in mind before you upgrade. Once you make the switch, any existing reservations or extras will be canceled. If you purchased
Lightning Lane Multi Pass for your visit, it will no longer be valid once the upgrade is complete. It also means that if you exit the park after upgrading, you will not be able to reenter unless you secure a new theme park reservation with your Magic Key. You can technically upgrade earlier in the day, but for these reasons, I recommend waiting until you are ready to wrap up your day. Just be sure to finish the upgrade before midnight on that third day, or the value of your ticket can no longer be applied.

perks, because there are plenty to enjoy as a Magic Key holder. Depending on your Key level, you receive discounted or complimentary parking, savings on food and merchandise, access to special events and exclusive merchandise, and one of my personal favorites, the
Magic Key Terrace. This members only dining location overlooks Disney California Adventure and is my perfect spot to relax, sip something tasty, and take in the view.
