Welcome to planDisney, Patti, and happy early birthday! I just celebrated my birthday at Walt Disney World last weekend with a group of my friends, and I'm excited to hear that you're going to be combining birthday and
holiday fun in a few weeks' time.
At
Magic Kingdom on November 12, you won't see
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade during the day. That parade typically runs during
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, a separately ticketed event, and it only switches to daytime performances for day guests the week of Christmas. Since there isn't a Christmas party on November 12 this year, there won't be a holiday parade that day.
The good news: you'll still find plenty of festive fun that's included with your regular park ticket. First, soak up the holiday decor on Main Street, U.S.A.! The garlands, wreaths, and window displays make for gorgeous photos, especially with a hot cocoa in hand. Also, don't miss the
Jingle Cruise, the holiday overlay of Jungle Cruise, which is full of seasonal puns and merry little details.
I think you should also consider a visit to
Disney Springs! It absolutely sparkles
during the holiday season; think twinkling lights, festive music, and the
Christmas Tree Stroll with dozens of brilliantly themed trees tucked around every corner. You can do some holiday shopping, catch live entertainment on outdoor stages, and hunt down some limited-time treats and cocktails at quick-service spots and lounges. Best of all, admission is free and parking in the garages is complimentary, so it's the perfect way to add a little extra sparkle to your trip.
Have a magical day, Patti!
