I am bringing my little boy for his 5th birthday and would love to book reserved viewing for the fire works, how do i do this please?

Hi Leanne and bienvenue to planDisney.

First of all, let me tell you that I cannot think of anywhere better to celebrate your sons 5th birthday than Disneyland Paris - it seriously doesn't get any more magical than that!

My family celebrated many of my now 8-year old daughters, pre-school age birthdays, at Disneyland Paris and still to this day, every birthday, she always asks if we can do it again. Unfortunately, as her birthday is in January, during term-time, this isn't usually possible but, one of these years it'll fall on a weekend and we'll surprise her.

The Reserved Viewing Area has become an extremely popular Magical Extra to book and it's not very hard to see why. It offers a prime viewing location in a dedicated zone and with only a limited number of places available, it guarantees a great view of Disney Tales of Magic.

If you booked directly with Disneyland Paris, there are 2 ways to book the Reserved Viewing Area for the nighttime show (subject to availability):-

1/ You can add this via your MyDisney Account once your Hotel+Ticket package has been paid for in full. If you have linked your booking in the Disneyland Paris App, click on "Buy" at the bottom of the home page, followed by "Shows and parades: Preferred access" and then click "Select" on the "Parade and nighttime show: Reserved viewing area" option. You then need to click "Select" on the "Reserved viewing area: Nighttime show" option.

2/ By contacting Disneyland Paris via the Live Chat function which can be accessed by clicking on "Ask your question" in the blue box that says "Need help?" which pops up while you are browsing the Disneyland Paris website and/or Disneyland Paris App.

If you made your booking through a Travel Agency (including The Walt Disney Travel Company) then it is only possible to reserve viewing areas via the Disneyland Paris App, 1 week before your arrival date (subject to availability).

I will be keeping my fingers crossed that you're able to get this booked for your desired date and that you have the absolute best time, celebrating your sons birthday at Disneyland Paris, next month.

Before I go, did you know that you can visit City Hall at Disneyland Park or, Studio Services at Walt Disney Studios Park to collect a birthday badge for your son to wear throughout your trip?  (I would recommend having a copy of his ID with you, just incase you are asked to show this.) In my experience, Cast Members, Characters and even other Guests will stop to wish your son a happy birthday which will be sure to add some extra pixie dust to his day.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
