What building has regular preferred rooms at art of animation?

    Hiya, Karen! Welcome to planDisney!

It sounds like you’re planning a stay at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. That’s a great choice! In my opinion, this is the resort that has the most vibrant theming of any of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels at Walt Disney World Resort.

To answer your question, Karen, there are two types of rooms at Art of Animation. These are The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms, as well as the themed suites. There are three different themed suites at the resort, which are Cars Family Suites, Finding Nemo Family Suites, and The Lion King Family Suites.

While there are no preferred rooms at the resort, the Finding Nemo Suites are the closest to The Big Blue Pool and Animation Hall, which is the main lobby at the resort. The Lion King Family Suites and the Cars Family Suites are about the same distance from the main building on either side of the resort. The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms are the furthest away from Animation Hall on the far side of The Lion King Suites.

The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms sleep up to four adults, while the suites sleep up to six. The suites also offer a significant amount of extra space, which can be great for larger parties. Please note that both the Cars area and The Little Mermaid area also have pools, which are the Cozy Cone Pool and the Flippin’ Fins Pool. The Big Blue Pool is the largest hotel pool in all of Walt Disney World Resort, holding over 308,527 gallons! Plus, the theming of the pool is super fun, with sculptures of all of your favorite characters from Finding Nemo.

Art of Animation also shares a Disney Skyliner station with Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This is such a great benefit of staying here. It transports you seamlessly to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I love traveling on the Disney Skyliner!

I hope this answers your question, Karen. If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your magical visit, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us here at planDisney. We’re always happy to help!

    Just keep swimming!
