Welcome to planDisney, Debbie! Your magical vacation is just around the river bend, and I know you must be excited to celebrate America at the Most Magical Place on Earth this
Fourth of July! I'm arriving the same day as you, and I can't wait!
Debbie,
Disney's Pop Century Resort is such a fun and convenient resort location! In addition to the easy access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios using the
Disney Skyliner, guests can utilize complimentary
Disney bus service to Disney Springs, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom Theme Park! When you take the bus from your resort to Magic Kingdom, you can access the
Disney Monorail without scanning into the theme park, but you will be required to pass through Disney security before accessing the highway in the sky! Once you pass through security, you can head to your left to access the monorail; alternatively, you can take a right and follow the walking path over to Disney's Contemporary Resort and access the monorail there as well!
Be sure to read the posted signs as there are
two separate monorail lines outside of Magic Kingdom - the Resort loop monorail will take you from Magic Kingdom to Disney's Contemporary Resort, the Transportation and Ticket Center, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and back to Magic Kingdom on its route. The Express Monorail runs directly between Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center (with transfers to EPCOT). Depending on your destination for the day, you'll be able to hop aboard whichever monorail can get you there!
Debbie, I hope this helps! It's going to be a magical week celebrating freedom, fantasy, and family at the Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm wishing you a wonderful vacation! If you have any other questions before your arrival, come see us again here at
planDisney!
See you real soon,
Alison
