Hi, can I make California Adventure reservation for a specific date and pay for my tickets cash once I get there

Hello, Angela, and welcome to planDisney! I love that you're looking to visit California Adventure later this month. There will be quite a bit of Halloween Time fun for you to discover. But, of course, it all starts with a theme park ticket and a park reservation. Let's make sure you have everything you need to start your trip off right!

To enter a Disneyland Resort theme park, each Guest (ages three and older) must have both a valid ticket and park reservation. Your ticket will ultimately allow you to pass through the gates at the main entrance. However, for your ticket to be used, it must be paired with a park reservation, which indicates the date you will visit.

You must have a valid theme park ticket to make a park reservation. You could try to purchase tickets (and make a same-day reservation) at the ticket booth once you arrive, but there's always a chance that reservations may be unavailable. For that reason, I typically suggest purchasing tickets online in advance, if possible. You could use cash to purchase a Disney Gift Card (up to a value of $1,000 per card), and then use that to purchase tickets online. PayPal is also an option listed in the online checkout.

Angela, if you encounter any issues or if you'd prefer to purchase your theme park tickets by phone, you can call the Tickets Line. A Cast Member would be happy to assist you! Just note that, if you are calling from outside the United States, international call rates may apply depending on your network operator.

When you visit California Adventure, here are a few things you should add to your list:

    • Explore Cars Land – it's festively decorated for the season, and there are a few Halloween-themed overlays on attractions in the area.
    • Experience the thrill of Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark. This attraction transforms each afternoon into a special version that will bring a few screams your way. It's one of my favorites!
    • Check out Mickey's Trick and Treat show in Hollywood Land – while this is a show that will appeal largely to kids, it's fun for adults too, featuring original music, dancing, and appearances by Mickey and his pals.
    • Scope out all the Halloween merchandise. There are a lot of styles and items to choose from – I adore everything in the Cutie Ghost collection!
    • Check out some of the spooky eats for Halloween Time. I've heard good things about the Ursula Enchanted Waffles from Schmoozies.
Angela, I hope this information has been helpful to you as you finalize the plans for your trip. If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!

    Your pal,
