Hello there, Adriana! Welcome to
planDisney, and thank you so much for bringing us your question. I’m so glad you reached out, and I’d be more than happy to walk you through what you need to know.
When it comes to
Walt Disney World Annual Passes, once the purchase is completed, the pass becomes non-refundable and non-transferable. This is part of the official terms and conditions agreed to at checkout. That means there unfortunately isn’t a way to cancel or transfer the pass to someone else after it’s been bought.
But here’s the silver lining: if you haven’t activated your Annual Pass yet, meaning you haven’t used it to enter a theme park for the first time, you don’t need to rush. You’ll have a full 12 months from the date of purchase to activate it for the first time. This gives you plenty of flexibility to decide when you'd like to begin your year of pixie-dusted perks and park visits!
If you’re unsure whether your pass has already been activated, you can double-check by logging into your My Disney Experience account or app and looking under “Tickets and Passes.” You can also call the Annual Passholder hotline or stop by
Guest Relations during your next visit. Cast Members will be more than happy to check your status and walk you through your options.
Adriana, I know this might not have been the answer you were hoping for, but I hope it gives you some clarity as you plan ahead. If anything changes or if you decide to delay your first park visit a bit longer, your pass will be ready and waiting when the timing is right!
And if you ever have more questions about your Annual Pass or anything else Disney magic-related, we’re always available and more than happy to help here at planDisney. Have a magical day!
Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
