Welcome to planDisney, Debra.
I’m glad to hear from you today, but I really hope that you’re able to make your upcoming vacation work for you! The Most Magical Place on Earth is always waiting to embrace you with happiness and magic — so if you do end up having to cancel your vacation, I hope that you’ll be able to reschedule soon so you can make beautiful memories at the place where dreams come true.
Disney Vacation Packages have a little flexibility when it comes to refunds, whereas just theme park tickets are generally non-refundable. In your case, Debra, you should be able to get a refund for your room only Vacation Package according to Disney’s terms and conditions. According to the current rules and regulations, Guests that cancel their Vacation Package more than 30 days before their arrival will receive a refund. (This will be minus any associated third-party fees or non-refundable travel insurance costs, Debra.) Currently, if you canceled within 2-29 days of arrival, you would be refunded (according to the above terms) with an additional $200 cancelation fee applied as well. Cancelations that happen within 1 day of arrival or no-shows are considered non-refundable.
If you cancel your Vacation Package within the boundaries listed above, your particular refund will be issued to the form of payment originally used when you booked your Vacation Package, Debra.
If you are concerned or have more questions about your particular situation, you are welcome to
