Ahoy, Jennifer! Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question. A Very Merrytime Cruise next year sounds like such a magical way to celebrate the season. I’m so excited for you!
Disney Cruise Line requires your cruise to be paid in full by a certain date before you sail, and the exact timing depends on the length of your itinerary. For most cruises, it’s 90 days before sailing if your voyage is 5 nights or fewer, and 120 days before sailing if your trip is 6 nights or longer. Concierge staterooms have an earlier deadline, and certain special offers or guaranteed stateroom categories may require full payment at the time of booking.
The good news is that
Disney gives you a lot of flexibility. After your deposit is made, you can log in and make payments online whenever it works best for you. Some people like to pay in smaller installments, while others prefer to wait and make a larger payment closer to the deadline. Either way, as long as the final balance is in by your due date, you’ll be set.
Also, your cruise does need to be paid in full before your
booking window opens for Onboard Activities. I always set a reminder on my phone to stay up until midnight (Eastern Time) to snag those coveted reservations for things like Port Adventures, Senses Spa treatments, and delicious adult dining at Palo Brunch. The exact date your window opens depends on your
Castaway Club level.
Jennifer, I hope this clears things up and helps you get ready for your holiday sailing. And if you have more questions along the way, you know where to find us. We love talking Disney Cruise Line!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
