Hello! We’ll be cruising soon and I was wondering if medications, including supplements (ex: ox bile and probiotics) and OTC pain meds, have to be brought on board in the original container. Thank you!

Hello Camille! Welcome back to planDisney!

It's almost time for your magical vacation on Disney Cruise Line. I bet you are almost finished packing. Disney Cruise Line prefers you pack your prescription medications in their original containers. This will be helpful in case there is a medical emergency, and the medication needs to be identified. Make sure to have a full supply needed for your itinerary. If you need to refrigerate any medication, each stateroom is equipped with a refrigerator that can be used. If your supplements and over-the-counter medications look similar, I suggest you pack those in the original containers as well. If you use a pill organizer, you can organize your medication after you are on board.

Pack your prescription and other medications in your carry-on bag and not your checked luggage. You should also keep your travel documentation with you. Once you hand over your checked luggage to the porters, you will not see the luggage until later in the day at your stateroom door. I also keep my cell phone charger and reusable water bottle with me.

Camille, if you have any other questions, sail back to planDisney before you sail away.

    Bon Voyage!
