Hi Heather!
Welcome to planDisney!
If your
park tickets are date-based (meaning that you chose a start date for your ticket), you won’t need to worry about making any park reservations. You’ll be able to visit any one park of your choosing each day!
It’s good to note that, currently, a standard 3-day, 1 Park Per Day ticket needs to be used within a 5-day period. So, just make sure you get your park days in before your ticket expires.
Now, let’s chat about
Lightning Lanes! As an off-property guest with a date-based ticket, your Lightning Lane booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket. At that time, you’ll be able to purchase and book your Lightning Lanes for all 3 of your park days (or whichever park days you plan to purchase the service for).
When you book your Lightning Lanes, each park day will be a separate transaction. I always like to start with the last day of my trip and work my way backward to give myself the best chance of getting those harder-to-get Lightning Lanes.
Remember, if you don’t snag a Lightning Lane return time you were hoping for, you can always modify it pending availability leading up to your trip. So, it’s worth checking back here and there to see if anything opens up.
I hope that helps! And if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your trip,
let us know!
