Hello, Denise!
Welcome to planDisney. Thank you for cruising my way with your questions. I’m looking forward to an Alaskan sailing next year myself, and I’d love to share some more of what you can expect when you sail with Disney Cruise Line to
Alaska.
When Disney Cruise Line advertises
land and sea vacations, they are typically referring to pairing a Disney Cruise departing from Florida with a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. As Disney Cruise Line voyages to Alaska depart from
Vancouver, you are welcome to spend time before or after your sailing in this beautiful city. I encourage you to
follow this link to the Vancouver destination page of the Disney Cruise Line website to see more about what the city has to offer, as well as the hotels you are able to book through Disney Cruise Line.
Disney Cruise Line agents can help you book
airfare, hotel accommodations, and
ground transportation from the airport or resort where you are staying to the port and back again. These travel accommodations are not included in the price of your Disney Cruise and will incur additional charges. For assistance with booking, please
call Disney Cruise Line.
Many guests choose to handle their flight and hotel bookings on their own, and you are welcome to do whatever best suits your needs. You can book your Disney Cruise Online using the
Find a Cruise Tool on the website. From there, be sure to use the filter tool to view the itineraries to Alaska.
At this time, I see five and seven-night sailings to Alaska. The seven-night sailings include three ports of call and one scenic glacier viewing day, where you can view grand sights and wildlife from the ship. A sample itinerary might include: Glacier viewing of the Stikine Icecap and ports of call at Skagway, Icy Strait Point, and Ketchikan, Alaska
As a returning guest of the Disney Cruise Line, you can enjoy Silver
Castaway Club status. The perks include early access to booking activities and online check-in, an exclusive cruise terminal check-in (select ports), and a welcome back aboard gift.
My good friend, Kamini, shared her Alaskan cruise experience in the form of a
trip report on Disney Parks Blog, and reading about it might help spark some inspiration for your next sailing.
Please return to planDisney again! It’s a pleasure to help
Happy Planning,
