Aloha, David! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney - it's always a great day to chat about all things
Disney Vacation Club! I'm happy to help with your question about the newest addition to the DVC family. Let's get right to it!
Last week's long-awaited official opening of
Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows was very exciting news. Our family's Home Resort is the Polynesian, and this new addition expands the accommodations available here beyond the Deluxe Studios and Bungalows found in the original longhouses. I can't wait to stay there and experience the new resort!
In particular, I'm so glad the new Tower includes
1-Bedroom Villas. These sleep up to 5 Guests, plus 1 infant (in Disney terms, "infant" means under age 3). We have older teens now, so the 1-Bedroom is nice to give everyone a little more privacy. Members may choose between several different views - Theme Park, Preferred, or Resort - and will enjoy all of the amenities like the new fitness center!
The 1-Bedroom Villa has a king bed, a queen-size pull-down, and a single pull-down that is located under the television in the living room and features a bright tropical backdrop. It's described as "bunk-size" and measures about 66 x 31 inches. My younger daughter actually loves to sleep on these singles (you'll also find these in the original Polynesian Deluxe Studios and some other DVC properties) - they feel cozy, and she has plenty of room.
David, I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes and that you can enjoy a magical stay at Island Tower in 2025! Thanks again for visiting planDisney, and please come back and see us anytime if we can help with additional questions.
Welcome Home!
Susan
