Hiya, Becky! Welcome to planDisney!
The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to budget for meals ahead of your trip. Many Guests really appreciate having an accurate picture of how much they can expect to spend on dining ahead of their visit. I can definitely see the appeal of it!
You ask a great question!
The Disney Dining Plan includes the following:
1. 1 Quick-Service Meal (per night of stay)
2. 1 Table-Service Meal (per night of stay)
3. 1 Snack/Non-alcoholic Drink (per night of stay)
4. 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug
Note that certain restaurants, like
The BOATHOUSE, are categorized as Fine/Signature Dining experiences. Some of these, including The BOATHOUSE, require 2 Table-Service meal redemptions per person. To answer your question, you can absolutely order some of the more expensive options on the menu. Unless otherwise stated, these will be included in the Disney Dining Plan.
Note that certain items are not included in the Disney Dining Plan. For context, these are typically menu items like specialty drinks in souvenir glasses, or entrées intended for two people or more. The vast majority of single-serving entrées and beverages are included. The Cast Members at the restaurants at which you are dining will be able to tell you exactly which items are not included, if any.
You can see a list of which
restaurants accept the Disney Dining Plan on the Walt Disney World Resort website. They also list how many Table-Service meal redemptions are required for each Guest. As you start to choose which restaurants you’d like to dine at, you can see what menu items may interest you, and how many redemptions the restaurant requires.
I hope this answers your question, Becky! You will be traveling during the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. EPCOT comes alive with sprawling gardens and fun Disney character topiaries. In my opinion, it’s the best time of year to visit EPCOT!
I hope you have a fantastic vacation. If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, don’t hesitate to come back and see us here at
