Welcome to planDisney, Amy! I'm so excited that you're doing a holiday visit to Walt Disney World, and that you've got big plans to have a New Year's Day feast at
Tusker House. I'm happy to walk you through how the
Disney Dining Plan works when your trip spans two different years, so let's jump right in!
Amy, I'm pleased to tell you that you're all set. Because your stay runs from 2025 through 2026, your 2025 Dining Plan can be used for the entire length of your stay, even though the calendar flips to a new year. Dining plans are tied to your vacation package and
resort stay, and there's a bit of flexibility here for you because your stay is unique and spans two calendar years. Your meals and snacks load to your account on your check-in day and remain usable through the end of your checkout day, so you can absolutely use a table-service meal at Tusker House on January 1st.
That "2026 Dining Plans accepted" note you're seeing on the Tusker House page simply reflects that the restaurant will accept the current plan for that date. It doesn't block you from using the plan that's attached to your in-progress stay. Since your package began in 2025, you can use your dining plan on any day of your visit, including any days in 2026.
I have a few friendly tips for keeping track of your Dining Plan while you're on vacation! You can use the
My Disney Experience app to check your remaining meals and snacks by tapping on "Dining Plan" in the "My Resort" screen. All of the meals and snacks for everyone staying in your room are pooled and can be used in any order. At Tusker House, let your server know you're on the dining plan before you order, and they'll make sure everything is set up correctly for you when the bill comes.
Have a magical day, Amy!
