Hiya Thom,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for your question about one of my favorite topics, dining! Every vacation, my family knows that I will plan our itinerary around food, so they have just accepted it by now.
Thom, you have stumbled upon one of my favorite aspects of the
dining plans. With the dining plans, your plan begins the day you check in, and any excess credits expire at 11:59 pm on the day you check out. So let’s say you have the
Disney Dining Plan, which includes 1 table-service meal credit, 1 quick-service meal credit, 1 snack, and 1 resort refillable mug. If you use your quick service meal and snack on the day you check in but don’t use your table service, you still have until 11:59 pm the next day to use that remaining credit! So in summary, yes, you can use your remaining credit for breakfast on checkout day. We really love the flexibility this allows our family because we aren’t always able to use all our credits before we check out, so this ensures none of them go to waste.
I hope this was helpful, Thom. Before I let you go, don’t forget that you can use snack credits on items typically found at
EPCOT Festival booths. It is one of my favorite uses for a snack credit! I’m not sure when you are planning to visit, but if you can try to plan your trip around one of those events, so you can use your snack there. Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
