how to make dining reservations at california adventures

Hey there, hi there, Loretta! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a great question!

I see you will be arriving very soon! Oh boy! If you are hoping to get some last-minute dining reservations, you can do this through the Disneyland website or Disneyland app. I really love the ease and functionality of the reservation search because after you fill in what date you are looking for, how many are in your party, and what time frame you are looking for, you can then get a list of all available reservations that fit into that search criteria. If you don't find what you are looking for, just keep checking. Currently, you can cancel up to 2 hours before a reservation time, so a lot of times Guests wait until the day of or close to.

If you are in the parks, you can also use the Disneyland app to see if the location you are looking for has a walk-up wait list. If you are close enough to the location, you can join through the app if it's open. If the app says it is not open, you can always ask a Cast Member at the location if they are taking walk-up reservations. If you are looking for a suggestion, one of my favorite places in California Adventure is Lamplight Lounge. They also have the upstairs patio location, Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining, that does not take reservations, but you can try getting on the mobile walk-up list same day.

Loretta, thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are able to get the reservation you need!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
