Heigh ho! Heigh ho! Caitlin, it won't be long before you sing, "It's off to Disney we go!" So much more fun than work!
I'm thrilled to meet you at planDisney and glad you stopped by with this question about the key cards. You have several options to access your tickets and a few other sprinkles of magic at
Walt Disney World.
With the Key to the World plastic cards, you can access your theme park tickets to enter the gates at
Magic Kingdom,
EPCOT,
Hollywood Studios and
Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If you purchased
Lightning Lane passes, you scan your card to watch the Mickey Mouse icon turn green and welcome you to enter the shorter queue. You can also scan them to link any
PhotoPass pictures taken by a photographer or on the attractions with the scanners at the end of the ride to your
MyDisney account.
If you stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, the card can be used to open your room door and to charge purchases throughout Walt Disney World to your hotel bill.
My favorite accessory, the
MagicBand+, is available to purchase if you want all the magic on your wrist. On a trip this past weekend, my nephew forgot his MagicBand+, so I used
Disney MagicMobile to access his tickets and Lightning Lane passes on my cell phone. You can create a MagicMobile pass in the
My Disney Experience app and add it to your phone's digital wallet. Both of these have an additional bit of Pixie Dust: they can link your PhotoPass pictures on attractions that
automagically link photos, like
TRON Lightcycle / Run and
Pirates of the Caribbean.
Caitlin, I hope this is the information you were dig, dig, digging to find. If you have any other questions, please come back to
planDisney. It's off to work we'll go!
Magic Awaits!
