Hi Emma,
Welcome back to planDisney! We're so glad you continue to trust us with your planning questions. I can absolutely understand your excitement about the
70th anniversary celebration. Disneyland has truly made sure there’s something magical for everyone to enjoy!
We recently received
some exciting news: the
Paint the Night parade,
World of Color Happiness!,
Tapestry of Happiness, and some of the 70th Anniversary decor will continue through the Halloween season. The
interactive MagicBand+ locations and even the Key to Disneyland lock stations will remain available. This is such exciting news for guest who had vacations planed in advance. So far, we know that the full 70th anniversary celebration will resume after the holiday season wraps up (sometime after January 7, 2026) and continue through summer 2026.
While no official end date has been announced, we can look at this year’s schedule as a guide:
Halloween Time typically begins around August 22. With that in mind, I highly recommend planning your trip for July 2026 to be safe. If moving your trip to July isn't possible, try to aim for early August 2026. While there’s no guarantee the anniversary celebrations will still be ongoing, you'll have a better chance of catching them earlier in the month.
Remember, the magic at the Happiest Place on Earth is always evolving, so be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates. There’s a lot of great information there about the
entertainment,
food, and
merchandise for the 70th anniversary.
I hope this helps with your planning, Emma! If you have any more questions or would like extra Disney tips, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always happy to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your plans.
Happy planning!
– Melinda
