Welcome to planDisney, Luz! December is truly one of the merriest times to visit the Happiest Place on Earth, and I’m so glad you're considering a trip during this magical season. I’m happy to share a few festive details to help you plan your holiday adventure!
First, I have some great news: hotel rates for December are already available! To book your stay, head over to the
“Discover Disneyland Resort Hotels” page on the Disneyland website, where you can explore options at the
Disneyland Hotel,
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, and the
Pixar Place Hotel. Each offers its own unique holiday atmosphere, from seasonal décor in the lobbies to extra resort perks like early entry.
As for theme park tickets, they are typically released up to 180 days in advance, though availability can roll out gradually. I took a peek at the
“Buy Your Tickets” page and saw that tickets for December 1 through December 10 are currently available. Additional dates will continue to open throughout the month, so I recommend checking back regularly for your specific travel dates.
The holidays at Disneyland are pure magic. From the transformation of “it’s a small world” holiday into a radiant celebration of global traditions to the mischievous makeover at Haunted Mansion Holiday, there’s seasonal cheer tucked into nearly every corner. Don’t miss A Christmas Fantasy Parade as it glides down Main Street, U.S.A., or the “Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks,, complete with snow falling on Main Street for that picture-perfect winter moment.
If you’d like to maximize your time during this popular season, the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass is a great option. It allows you to reserve return times for select attractions in advance or on the day of your visit. Once you’ve entered the park, just open the
Disneyland app to start choosing your experiences. It’s perfect for skipping the standby lines and spending more time soaking in the holiday magic.
One of my favorite traditions is pairing thrills with treats, like riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and then heading over to Café Orleans for gumbo and holiday-themed beignets. And keep your eye out for festive churros, which often feature flavors like peppermint!
Luz, I hope this helps you get a joyful head start on your Disneyland holiday adventure! If you have more questions or want help planning around the seasonal festivities, we’d love to see you again here at planDisney.
Wishing you a visit full of cozy moments, twinkling lights, and pure Disney magic,
David
