Ahoy there, Guillaume!
Welcome back to planDisney! It sounds like you’re charting a double dose of
Disney magic with consecutive cruises—what an incredible way to wrap up the year! Two sailings mean twice the adventure, twice the soft-serve, and twice the opportunities for those picture-perfect memories.
You’re absolutely right that your second
voyage on the Wish won’t technically be a Very Merrytime sailing, but don’t let that dampen your holiday spirit faster than Olaf in summer! Historically, Disney Cruise Line has kept the festive décor—complete with shimmering garlands, twinkling lights, and that grand Christmas tree in the Grand Hall—up through the New Year’s cruises. So if Disney follows tradition, you’ll still be able to enjoy those merry and bright touches when you step aboard the Wish.
While it’s not guaranteed, it’s been quite common in past seasons for the holiday décor to remain in place until after the new year. My guess is that Disney keeps the halls decked to honor the full winter holiday season—including Kwanzaa and sometimes the tail end of Hanukkah—before the ships return to their year-round magic.
Since this second cruise won’t be a designated
Very Merrytime sailing, you might not see the special holiday activities like Mickey & Minnie’s Holiday Party or Santa’s visit. But don’t worry, there’s still plenty of enchantment waiting for you! You’ll have a brand-new ship to explore,
Broadway-style shows to enjoy, and that signature Disney service that makes every voyage feel like a dream come true.
I hope this helps you look forward to your post-Christmas sailing with a little more sparkle! Before long, you’ll be humming “When You Wish Upon a Star” under the glow of the Wish’s dazzling chandelier, soaking in those final twinkles of the holiday season.
Sea ya real soon as the tides turn toward thankful hearts and joyful journeys,
Dustin
