Hi Helen,
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! I love taking time to explore the offerings available at the Disney Resorts I’m visiting. When I was staying at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort earlier this month, I took my kids to
marshmallow roasting at the campfire and came across a yoga class in the same area. My kids were happy to roast marshmallows with their dad while I enjoyed an hour of “me-time” overlooking Bay Lake!
At this time, some of the Disney Resorts offer yoga classes as one of their weekly activities. These offerings can change month-to-month, so I can’t say for certain that Disney’s Beach Club will have a yoga class in July. When you arrive at the
Beach Club in July, ask the Front Desk for a Resort activities guide to see what the current activity offerings are.
Disney's Boardwalk Inn is also nearby, so you may want to check out the activities there because it is only a short walk away. The Resort yoga classes do not require you to sign up in advance, and yoga mats are provided. When I arrived, the instructor asked about my experience level (I am very much a beginner) and tailored the class to suit the participants. It was a wonderful class, and I plan on taking advantage of Resort yoga in the future!
While researching Resort offerings, I also came across a
complimentary yoga class at Disney Springs for Mother’s Day. Currently, the yoga class is only listed for May 11th. I would continue to check the events calendar to see if there are any classes offered during your visit, as they do require you to register in advance.
I hope this helps, Helen! I recommend snapping a picture of the Resort activities guide to keep on your phone. Sometimes we have a spontaneous Resort evening, so referring back to the photo makes it easy to see what events we can enjoy. If you have any more questions, we’ll be here to help at
planDisney!
