Hi! I want to experience the 70th celebration at Disneyland, but we're looking to go to the park in November 2025. My question is will the 70th celebration parades and firework/light shows be replaced with their holiday-themed counterparts?

Hi there, Rebecca! Welcome to planDisney! Oh my goodness, a November visit to the Disneyland Resort sounds fantastic! While it might feel like your trip is still just a dream away, time flies when you're planning for magic, and it'll be here before you know it!

You've timed your visit perfectly to experience the historic Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration! This once-in-a-lifetime celebration will be in full swing, commemorating an amazing seven decades of imagination, dreams coming true, and unforgettable magic-making. The entire resort is sure to be sparkling with special touches to honor this incredible milestone, and being there to soak it all in will be something truly special.

Now, regarding your question about the entertainment line-up, particularly how the 70th Celebration parades and nighttime spectaculars might transition with the holiday season starting... that's something many Guests planning visits during that time will be wondering about! The Disneyland Resort usually undergoes a dazzling transformation in early November, ushering in the beloved Holidays at the Disneyland Resort season. This brings its own, very distinct kind of enchantment—think Sleeping Beauty Castle shimmering with icicles, festive garlands lining Main Street, U.S.A., and the scent of gingerbread in the air.

Since your visit is still a few months away, the detailed entertainment schedule hasn't been officially announced just yet. The Disneyland Resort tends to release the final schedules, showtimes, and specific offerings for seasonal events and transitions closer to the actual dates—often a couple of months, or even weeks, beforehand. So, while we know both the 70th Celebration and the Holidays event are major happenings, I can't say with absolute certainty which parade will be rolling down the route or which specific nighttime spectacular will be lighting up the sky on the dates you'll be there.

However, if I were to put on my Mickey Ears and make an educated guess based on how Disneyland often handles overlapping celebrations, it’s certainly possible you might get to experience the best of both worlds! I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the 70th Celebration magic continues alongside the kick-off of the holiday festivities. Wouldn't that be amazing?! Imagine experiencing unique 70th offerings and beloved holiday traditions like A Christmas Fantasy Parade or the Believe... In Holiday Magic Fireworks Spectacular during the same visit!

My best advice for you, Rebecca, is to keep a close watch on the Disneyland website and the Disney Parks Blog as your trip approaches. I'd recommend checking periodically starting around late summer or early fall of 2025. That's when I’d expect the Disneyland Resort to start sharing more details about the upcoming holiday season's entertainment lineup.

Rebecca, I truly hope this insight helps as you continue dreaming about and planning your adventure! While I know we have to wait a bit longer for the official word on the exact entertainment schedule, the possibility of experiencing both the historic 70th Celebration and the start of the festive holiday season sounds incredibly magical. Knowing how much Disney delights in celebrating special occasions, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that your visit is indeed packed with that wonderful double dose of magic—honoring a milestone while ringing in the holidays! Wishing you a truly enchanting visit!
