Hi Elizabeth,
It sounds like you'll be experiencing
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite this week! You are going to love kicking it into light speed and hanging out in a galaxy far, far away for the evening. Beyond the lighter crowds and generally shorter wait times for attractions, I love all the special photo opportunities and experiences. You will see some characters that are rarely out and about in the parks. I've even heard that some fan-favorite duos like Han Solo and Princess Leia have been spotted!
I'm sorry to hear you've found yourself with a few extra tickets - I know those are highly coveted! The ticket terms state that they are not refundable and cannot be resold or transferred for commercial purposes. If you have specific questions about your tickets, I'd recommend giving the
Guest Services team a call. They will be able to answer questions directly related to your account.
With your special event ticket, you are welcome to enter Disneyland Park as early as 6:00 PM, even though the event does not kick off until 9:00 PM. I use this extra time to ride a few must-do attractions. Once the party starts, I try to focus on all of the special themed experiences that are only offered during the party hours. Before 9:00 PM rolls around, I recommend grabbing a bite to eat and taking a few minutes to go through the
keepsake guide for the evening to map out any photo opportunities, treats, or merchandise that you do not want to miss. If there is a character you have your heart set on meeting, I would plan to arrive at their meeting location at least 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled time they are set to appear. Since some characters are only seen on these special nights, those lines tend to have the longest wait times. If you aren't up for waiting for a particular character, my planDisney pals and I found that it was just as much fun to hop into the
Disney PhotoPass themed photos. These made for some unique and hilarious memories, particularly the one with Jabba the Hutt!
Before heading into the parks that night, I also highly recommend checking out the Disney Parks Blog
Guide to Season of the Force. While this isn't specific to
Star Wars Nite, it does give a detailed rundown of all the inspired offerings through May 11th in honor of everyone's favorite galaxy.
Elizabeth, I know this may not have been the information you were hoping to hear, but I sure hope it was helpful in your planning. If you have any questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
May the magic be with you,
Tara
