Are Face Mask Required at Disney World in January 2025? If so, what are the requirements?

Hi there, Matt, and welcome to planDisney!

January is one of the best times to visit Walt Disney World Resort. The attraction queues seem to shorten a bit, there’s a crisp in the Florida air, and you may still see remnants of holiday decorations. It is my pleasure to give you more insight about health safety at The Most Magical Place on Earth.

As a Florida resident, I can say that Walt Disney World is one of the safest places that I visit and I get to experience its magic on a monthly basis. At the moment, for both indoors and outdoors, face coverings are 100% optional for visitors. However, if you plan on wearing a mask, they are not allowed in the water around property, such as in Resort hotel pools and at the water parks.

You will find many places around the theme parks where you can get some alone time from the groups of other Guests. There are also plenty of bathrooms to wash your hands. And if you want to stay hydrated? Go up to almost any kiosk and ask a friendly Cast Member for a complimentary cup of water. Or use one of the water bottle filling stations that you can find in various locations.

Matt, please give us a holler here at planDisney if you have any other questions about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World—and beyond! Any of the panelists will be more than happy to help.

    Magic always,
    LeAndra
