My family and I have a cabin at Ft. wilderness the week of Christmas 2025 with 3 park hopper days. Which days are usually the busiest for each park? I’ve always heard MK on Monday is super busy. I’d like to plan each day opposite of the busiest parks.

Hi there, Kristy, and welcome to planDisney! I couldn't be happier that you're here with this great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Thank you so much for reaching out to me - I'm thrilled to help you!

Kristy, you'll be happy to know that you can't go wrong when planning to go to the Disney Theme Parks during the holidays. I'll note that each day around Christmas will be on the busier side, so you will likely want to take advantage of Lightning Lanes, Early Theme Park Entry, and Extended Evening Hours (if eligible). Keep an eye on the Hours and Events Calendar for the most up-to-date info on opening and closing hours, parades, showtimes, and more.

Please keep in mind that park hopping is only effective if your destination has not reached capacity yet, so please ensure you're allowing notifications from the My Disney Experience Mobile App, which should tell you if a park is unavailable at that time. Also, remember that going from one park to another can take up to an hour by the time you walk to the exit, wait for and board transportation, and make your way to the next park. It's a great time to have a snack or place a Mobile Food & Beverage Order.

I've also heard that Magic Kingdom Park is busiest on Mondays, and, while I can't confirm that, my theory is that this is because many families arrive over the weekend and start their vacation with a visit to Magic Kingdom Park. My family, however, loves to end our visit with a day at Magic Kingdom Park, because it feels like the quintessential finale for a magical vacation.

During busier times at the parks, I definitely recommend making Lightning Lane selections in advance. There is so much to see and do throughout the parks, including unique, seasonal entertainment, that you won't want to miss! Check out the My Disney Experience Mobile App to learn about the showtimes during your visit.

Kristy, I hope this is helpful to you as you continue to count down to your arrival! Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have!

    See ya real soon!
