How far in advance can I make my reservation for a 2026 vacation?

    Hello there Brian,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your planning question. I love that you've got a magical countdown in mind for next year!

As soon as 2026 Disney World vacation packages are released here in the United States, you'll be allowed to make a reservation for September 2026. Currently, the Disney website is only allowing bookings through December 2025. But those new dates could be opened up any time now!

Historically, the next year's packages are released any time from February to July of the current year. Here's a couple of places to keep a look out:

    • Watch the Disney Parks Blog for the big announcement... along with other fun news and updates of what's coming in time for your vacation!
    • Occasionally check the Build Your Vacation search tool, at the top of the Walt Disney World website. When you select dates on the calendar tool and see those 2026 dates enabled... you'll know they are available!

Once you've found the practically perfect Disney Resort to reserve, as you get closer to your vacation dates (starting early 2026) I would watch the Special Offers & Discounts page. If a deal pops up that works for your dates and plans, you can easily modify your reservation to that special offer and save money. Woo hoo! I play that game often... it's like my little pixie-dust hobby.

Brian, I hope this helps and I'll be wishing on a star for you to be able to book your dream vacation soon! Please visit me again any time at planDisney with any other questions, or if you'd like recommendations on dining, resort choices, using Lightning Lane, or more.

    Have a magical day!
    Tami
