Hiya Tiffany!
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. Oh boy — you are in for such a pixie-dusted adventure! There’s truly nothing like planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I’m so excited to help you get started.
Let’s dive right in! First, I recommend beginning your planning journey on the Disney World website by planning a vacation package. This is where the magic truly starts. You'll first select your Disney hotel, and there’s a resort for every budget and style — from Value to Deluxe, and everything in between. Some Guests love the magic of staying along the monorail loop for quick access to Magic Kingdom. At the same time, my family absolutely adores Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge — there’s nothing like waking up to giraffes and zebras right outside your window!
One of the best parts about staying at a Disney hotel is how easy it is to travel between the parks. Whether it's a whimsical monorail ride, a relaxing boat ride, a breezy Skyliner journey, or a comfy Disney bus, you're always just a short ride away from the fun. Plus, all Disney Resort hotel Guests enjoy the extra sprinkle of Early Theme Park Entry, giving you a head start on your park adventures each morning!
Once you've selected your resort, you’ll choose your theme park tickets. You'll decide how many days you want to explore the magic, and whether a Standard Ticket (one park per day) or a Park Hopper Option (multiple parks in one day) is best for your family. Park Hopper tickets are perfect for Guests who want to rope drop Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios and end the evening watching Luminous: The Symphony of Us fireworks at EPCOT. That said, when my little Mouseketeers are with me, we usually stick to one park daily to simplify things and allow for midday breaks!
You’ll also have the chance to add a Disney Dining Plan, which is a great way to make mealtime even more magical:
- Quick-Service Dining Plan – ideal for delicious meals on the go
- Disney Dining Plan – includes one table-service meal daily, perfect if you’re dreaming of a character breakfast with Chip and Dale at Garden Grill Restaurant!
Another pixie-dusted perk for Disney hotel Guests is the ability to purchase the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass up to 7 days in advance of your stay. This can help you enjoy more magic with less waiting for popular attractions!
And before you finalize your plans, don’t forget to check out the
Special Offers page. Mickey loves sharing magical discounts and promotions throughout the year — you never know when the perfect offer might pop up for your travel dates! Just note that these deals do change.
Tiffany, I hope this helps! If you have any more questions as you plan, we’re always just a question away here at planDisney.
See ya real soon,
Christina
