Hi, first Time visiting Disneyworld. So if I acquire the three day base park ticket, do I need to make a park reservation? I've been trying with no result. And I'm nervous I'll have problemas to enter the parks ...

Greetings from planDisney, Guadalupe! We're so happy you're here with your planning question. And how exciting that your very first Disney World vacation is coming up so soon! Woo hoo!

It sounds like you have purchased a 3-day dated park ticket specifically for your September visit dates. Good news! You won't need to make any park reservations. Theme park reservations are no longer needed for date based tickets. If for some reason you do have a different type of ticket, you can make park reservations here.

Now that we've got that worry out of the way, let's talk about some other planning tips for your magical vacation! My family loves visiting in September, as it often has lower crowds and shorter wait times for attractions. I thought I would mention two other types of reservations guests sometimes make before arriving at Walt Disney World:

    • Advance Dining Reservations - You can make a reservation to dine at a Disney table service restaurant, starting 60 days prior to your arrival. Perhaps you'd like to reserve a fun character dining meal, or a fabulous meal at one of the lovely Disney Resorts? We love having a special dining reservation on our arrival night. It's a great way to kick things off with a sprinkle of pixie-dust, especially if we don't plan to visit the parks that day! Personal favorites include 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort with views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks, or Boma - Flavors of Africa at Animal Kingdom Lodge which offers viewing live safari animals on savannah. It's a tough choice!

    • Lightning Lane Passes - You can purchase Lightning Lane passes starting 3 days in advance of your arrival (for off site guests) or 7 days in advance of your arrival if staying at a Disney Resort. These passes allow you to skip the stand by line on some of your favorite attractions. So depending on how much you'll be trying to pack in to your Disney Day... you may want to check it out.

Guadalupe, my last tip before I go is to install the My Disney Experience app and have it ready to go before you arrive. It's helpful for so many things like linking your park tickets, checking attraction wait times, viewing park maps, tapping in to any Lightning Lane reservations, or placing a mobile food order to save time standing in line. I think you'll find it's super handy to have this pixie-dusted helper in your pocket!

Ok that was my second to last tip... also, please do not miss Magic Kingdom's new nighttime parade Disney Starlight, and the breathtaking fireworks show Happily Ever After! They will certainly capture your heart.

I'll be wishing upon a star for you to have an incredible trip to Walt Disney World! Please feel free to send me another message at planDisney if I can assist with anything further.

    Magical memories await!
    Tami
