If I get the free dining plan at a value resort. On average per person how much would it be to upgrade to the quick service dining plan (2 meals and a snack)?

Hi Deborah and welcome to planDisney! As one of the current UK panelists, it will be my absolute pleasure to assist you with your question, today.

Firstly, wasn't it just the best news ever when details of the Free Dining and Drinks offer for selected arrival dates in 2026 was announced, a few days ago? This is without doubt my favourite Deal when visiting Walt Disney World and can save a lot of money when you're likely to be staying at your Disney Resort Hotel for a duration of 2-weeks, or more.

As part of the promotion, one Free Quick Service Meal (comprising of one main course and one single-serving beverage) per guest, per night's stay, is included at the following Value Disney Resort Hotels:-

    Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
    Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
    Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
    Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Disney Art of Animation Resort (except Little Mermaid Standard Rooms)

Going back to your question, Deborah, I can tell you that in the past, you have indeed been able to upgrade from the Free Quick Service Meal to the Quick Service Dining Plan paying only for the difference in price, between the two.

Unfortunately, until booking opens on 29 April 2025, it is impossible for me to say what the cost of upgrading to the Quick Service Dining Plan would be. My best advice would be to visit the Walt Disney Travel Company's website on 29 April 2025 when you will be able to price this up based on the actual dates of your visit, length of stay and number of guests in your individual travel party.

Top Tip - Don't forget to make use of Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering when redeeming your Dining Plan entitlements. This is a great way to save precious time, waiting in line, to order food, whilst at Walt Disney World. Leaving you with more time to enjoy all of the amazing attractions, entertainment and character experiences on offer.

I hope that this information has been of use, Deborah. Please do feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney, if we can be of any other help with the planning of your 2026 trip to Walt Disney World.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
