I will be getting a sorcerer pass (for the first time) thru DVC. I will be going April 29-May 1. 2026. If I make a park res for HS or EPCOT as my first visit do I still have to make a res for MK after my first park?

    Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho, Margaret!

It's off to work we go! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. How exciting that you are purchasing your first Disney Sorcerer Pass!  I, too, just purchased my Disney Sorcerer Pass after taking a year off as an Annual Passholder.  This little gem is a great way to maximize the magic of your Disney vacation. Not only does it offer you additional treasures (like special treats exclusive to Annual Passholders) and the chance to visit Walt Disney World often, but there are Annual Passholder discounts for dining and merchandise.

Margaret, here's a quick tip for you - when you visit dining and merchandise locations, be sure to tell them you are both a Disney Vacation Club Member and an Annual Passholder.  Sometimes, the Annual Passholder discounts are different than those for eligible Disney Vacation Club Members, and sometimes they are even greater! The extra pixie dust in my wallet always makes me feel like I struck gold.

Now, Margaret, once you purchase your Disney Sorcerer Pass, it will be activated when you first visit the first park. Before you go to the turnstile, stop by the Guest Services window and activate your pass. You will need to present your Digital Member ID and your photo ID.  Once it is activated, you have a year from activation until it expires.

You are correct that you do need a theme park reservation for the first park you plan to visit for the day. However, once you tap into that theme park, you are free to hop over to any of the other parks at any time, and you do not need a second reservation as long as you tapped into that first park for which you made a reservation. This is always subject to change, but as of now, that is the current policy according to Member Services.   So, if, for example, you make a reservation to visit EPCOT, once you tap into EPCOT, you can head over to Magic Kingdom at any time, and you should be able to enter with your Disney Sorcerer Pass without any trouble (assuming you aren't visiting on a blockout date.)

I hope this helps you, Margaret! If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, soar back here to see me. I'll be so happy to help make sure your Disney trip is the fairest of them all.

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
