Hey there Haley,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! I'm thrilled to hear that you're planning a trip to the
Walt Disney World resort in just a few short weeks. What a fun way to wrap up 2024!
I recently encountered a similar situation as you for our recent family trip where we had multiple gift cards that we were combining into one. You are correct that the limit for any one gift card is $1000, so you would need at least two gift cards in your specific scenario.
Quickly, and if you haven't already, the easiest way to combine these is through the
Disney Gift Card website. Once you log in with your MyDisney account information, you'll click "
My Cards" and add all three cards here. Then you'll see an option to transfer the funds to one card, which you can use to combine two of your $500 cards into a one card with $1000.
When you're checking out during the payment process for
theme park tickets, you'll need to select a main form of payment (your credit or debit card) and then you can also select a checkbox to add one Disney Gift Card. At this time, there is unfortunately no way to pay with more than one Disney Gift Card per transaction.
If you're not able to break the transaction up into multiple transactions, then you can do what my family and I did and use the remaining gift card toward all your purchases during your trip to help offset your total trip budget and hopefully make up the difference!
Thanks again for your question, Haley, and I hope you have a wonderful time on your upcoming trip!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
