Walt Disney World Resort - it's a great time to visit! I'll be happy to offer some suggestions for visiting the theme parks to maximize the magic AND stay as cool as possible during the summer heat. Let's get right to it!
First and foremost, I want to make sure that you know all the details about
Cool KIDS' SUMMER, which is going on at Disney World through September 8. If you're staying at a Disney
Resort Hotel, you'll be able to visit one of the
Disney Water Parks for FREE on your check-in day. It's the perfect way to kick off your vacation! There's also special experiences for kids, including Character appearances, at certain hotels, and some other fun activities in the theme parks!
As for suggestions for which parks to visit which days, if I was visiting on those dates, I would prioritize
Magic Kingdom Park and
EPCOT on the Tuesday and Wednesday. Weekends (including Fridays) tend to be quite busy in both of those locations, with visitors and locals alike packing the parks! After a much-needed rest day, you could then plan on visiting
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park on the Friday and Saturday.
Regardless of what you decide to do, it's a great idea to get an early start on your Disney day in the summer so that you can enjoy the parks before the temperatures climb! We like to take a midday break and spend some time cooling off at the pool before returning for fireworks and some late-night attractions. Guests at Disney Resort Hotels enjoy Early Theme Park Entry, when they can enter the parks 30 minutes before the posted opening time. You can definitely squeeze in a couple of attractions before the lines get too long!
