Greetings planDisney team! Do busses run from the All-Star resorts to the start line of a runDisney race? We're staying at All-Star music for the Marathon weekend and are wondering how to get to the start line from the resort. Thanks team!

    Hiya Andrew,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your runDisney question! You must be so excited to visit Disney World for Marathon Weekend—it truly is one of the most magical events of the year. From the moment you see runners proudly wearing their medals to the sea of creative costumes and the sound of cheering spectators along the course, there’s nothing quite like that contagious runDisney energy. Whether you’re running the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, or going a little Dopey, you’re in for an unforgettable experience filled with miles of smiles!

Now, let’s lace up and get right into your question. You’ll be happy to know that complimentary Disney buses will be running from all Disney Resorts to the starting line—typically beginning around 3:00 a.m. on each race morning. These buses make race-day logistics so easy (and magical!) and will also transport you to and from the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo, where you’ll pick up your race bib, commemorative items, and maybe even snag some of that coveted official race merchandise.

Once you cross the finish line and proudly collect your medal, you’ll find return transportation waiting to whisk you back to your Resort—so you can rest those well-earned legs or head straight to the parks for a victory lap!

Pro tip: Florida weather can be unpredictable in January! Last year’s Marathon Weekend was especially chilly, so I always recommend dressing in layers you can easily take off as you warm up during the race. And here’s one of my favorite post-race hacks—bring a small foldable bag with you and pack it in your pocket or race belt! It’s perfect for carrying your medal, snack box, banana, and water bottles hands-free as you soak in that well-deserved runner’s glow.

Andrew, I hope this helps you prepare for an amazing Marathon Weekend! Please feel free to visit us with any additional questions.

    See ya real soon,
    Christina
