Hey there, hi there, ho there, Deborah! You're as welcome as can be here at
planDisney. Thank you so much for stopping by with your question!
Walt Disney World Resort is full of attractions designed for families to enjoy together, but of course there are a few where height requirements come into play, so let’s talk about what those moments will look like for your family.
First, an adult must always remain with any child who is not boarding an attraction. For safety reasons, there isn’t a way around that policy. So on attractions where your 4-year-old is tall enough to ride but your 6-month-old isn’t, one of you will ride first while the other stays with the baby, and then you’ll swap.
Rider Switch is truly your friend here! It allows the second adult to board with minimal waiting once the first adult has finished riding. It keeps things smooth and lets both grown-ups enjoy the magic, even when the baby isn’t quite ready to take on the thrills. The best part is that your toddler will get to experience these attractions twice!
The wonderful news is that this situation will likely only come up for a handful of rides, because
most attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort have no height requirement at all. Your 4-year-old and your baby will be able to join both of you on so many classics like The Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, “it’s a small world,” Pirates of the Caribbean, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Living with the Land, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and so many more! Some of the sweetest Disney memories come from those rides you all share together.
Deborah, you’re going to have the most magical time watching your little ones discover the parks. With a bit of planning and a sprinkle of flexibility, everyone, big and small, will get their turn for fun! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We're always available and more than happy to help here at planDisney. Have a wonderful day!
Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
